This song is evergreen, easy to remember, controversial, and not to forget fun too. Put aside the controversies, Indonesia and Malaysia are one Malay archipelago, we do share things especially something that we inherited. But this song has gone beyond just a Malay nursery rhyme, it has its role now in multiracial unity. As for me, when i heard this song, I think about Malaysia and its citizens, I think about my childhood, and I wonder of nowadays younger generation’s childhood. Well if this song exists as long as it could, at least part of my childhood memory is similar to the childhood of the younger generation 20-30 years after me. That will be one more thing to share, and to be proud of. Very Malaysia!
